Principles of Consortium cooperation

The following are the principles of the consortium collaboration:

• obtaining and unifying the “NWP culture”, starting from data monitoring up to response through modeling efforts to forecasters' and users' requirements;
• performing research and development focused on operational applications, the improvement of the products’ quality;
• sharing the available expertise, data, modelling and technical resources in NWP;
• reducing overlapping with other Members in NWP, thus decreasing costs;
• performing training in different areas related to NWP;
• enhancing the NWP operability in the region;
• being open for cooperation and new membership of other parties interested in collaboration.
